TRANS CANADA CLASS 1 BEST TRUCK DRIVING SCHOOL IN MONTREAL

The Best Driving School For Trucks! If you are considering a career in the transportation industry? There hasn’t been a better time! Come join one of the most renowned truck driving schools in Montreal. The Canadian Trucking Alliance did a study predicting a shortage of 43,000 drivers by 2023. If you are wondering if there are jobs in this industry, the answer is YES!

5 easy steps to get your truck driver’s license:

Step 1: Meet the requirements of the SAAQ.

HAVE A GOOD DRIVING RECORD:

In fact the student must have less than 4 demerit points recorded on his or her driving record.

However when you apply for a heavy vehicle license, you are eligible if you have 3 demerit points. 4 points are not eligible.
Furthermore, demerit points are removed from the driving record 24 months after a person is found guilty.
Therefore the student’s driver’s license must not have been suspended or revoked within the past 2 years.

The SAAQ will only review suspensions resulting from an accumulation of demerit points or a driving violation of the Criminal Code.

HAVE THE NECESSARY DRIVING EXPERIENCE:

The candidate must also have at least 36 months of driving experience with a Class 5 driver’s license (ie a car). The 36 months are an accumulation of the probationary license and the regular driving license.

Step 2: Medical Exam and Vision Test

In order to proceed to step 3, the SAAQ requires applicants to undergo a vision test which is performed at an SAAQ point of service. Applicants also receive a medical form to be completed by a doctor. You can contact your family doctor for this. If you dont have a family doctor we can help you.

Step 3: Register for a Heavy Vehicle Driving Course

(Theoretical Test) The SAAQ also recommends certain study materials to prepare for the theoretical exam: The Route Guide Driving a Heavy Vehicle We go even further with our Online Training Program (EFP).

Step 4: Register for a Heavy Vehicle Driving Course

Additionally we offer several driving courses according to the needs of each candidate. However, the following course structure is the norm for every beginner: 20 hours of observation, at the discretion of the instructor, normally consists of two candidates and the instructor. Observation times may apply to different sections of the program: lag, pre-departure check, reverse, etc. 20 hours of hands-on training, normally in the form of one-hour training with the instructor. However, can be done with an observer candidate too. The practical part of the driving course covers all aspects for the success of the SAAQ driving test.

Step 5: Register for the SAAQ Driving Test Finally, we are now at the last step.

Therefore once the candidates have completed the training, it is time to take the SAAQ road test. Driving: Candidates are tested on various aspects of road safety with driving a heavy vehicle. So there are safety margins, vehicle control, gear shifting and downshifting. Pre-Departure Verification: The pre-departure verification must be done in 20 minutes or less.
